A: Ironman cabinets are built as a single solid unit then anchored directly into the wall just like your kitchen cabinets are. This gives them superior strength and durability over “free standing” cabinets. Because of the way we build and install our cabinets, they are considered a home improvement, not furniture. That means the cabinets system actually adds value to your home. Another advantage to the Ironman system is the ability to change or add on in the future. Because we build your cabinets piece by piece, replacement parts are readily available without having to purchase the entire cabinet.

A: Ironman cabinets are made primarily of commercial grade MDF. MDF is like particle board, but commercial grade MDF has a higher quantity of Fir, making it stronger and more durable. Not all cabinets are made with this higher quality material. Additionally, the bases and frames are made from solid Poplar with steel legs and inserts, not plastic. The faces are finished with a thermo-fused melamine. That means the melamine finish is actually baked onto the surface, opposed to the more popular method of using “peel and stick” melamine. By thermo-fusing the melamine it becomes bonded with the surface compared to being glued.
